Meet The President
Kent Hansen, President
Current franchise president Kent Hansen started whitewater rafting when he was five years old and was kayaking on the rapids when he was twelve. and he had the opportunity to see all aspects of the rafting industry because my dad was a guide – but not just a guide, he was a pioneer and a captain in the industry. And now his dad is a one of my corporate trainers!
Kent quickly discovered that guided river tours could be costly, and that a lack of industry standards meant that safety and stewardship policies could vary from business to business.
Kent believed there was a better way to run a rafting company.
When American River Rentals became available for purchase,
Kent jumped at the chance to take the brand Dave built and develop it into a franchise, with a business model that emphasizes self-guided rafting to reduce customer cost, and the highest possible safety standards to keep the experience enjoyable.
In the years since, we’ve been proud to serve a growing pool of customers and help them experience rafting in a safe and sustainable environment.
Today, American River Rentals is preparing to move into markets across the country, and we’re looking to bring our franchise to your local area.
